John “Pat” Hunt

DOVER - John “Pat” Hunt, 76, died on Friday, December 17, with his family by his side.
Pat was born on October 1, 1945, to his parents, J. Patricia and John Hunt, in Fall River, MA, and attended school in Somerset, MA. He served in the Air Force at Malstrom AFB Montana, where he met and married Marilyn Kohut. Pat and Marilyn bought Cooper Hill Inn in 1985, bringing their family to Vermont.
Pat enjoyed playing baseball and coached and umpired Little League. He was an amateur meteorologist, was passionate about music, enjoyed playing the guitar, and loved ice cream. Pat was very proud of his children and grandchildren and of all their accomplishments.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn and his children; Tim (Tracy), Andy (Lisa), Theresa, Colleen (Shawn), James (Jaime), and Katie (Peter); 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Pat’s siblings include Marie, Peg (Chet), and Tom (Eileen).
