James L. Haskins

Wilmington- James Lewis Haskins, 67, a resident of Church Street, died Thursday, March 26, at his home.
Mr. Haskins was born in Bennington on February 18, 1953, the son of the late Philip J. and Rita Brown Haskins and attended Wilmington schools. He worked as a logger for his entire working career. He enjoyed fishing, listening to country music, and being around his home and his family He also enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and reading the newspaper.
Mr. Haskins is survived by his children Gloria Cady and her husband Peter, of Keene, NH, Melinda Haskins, of South Carolina,  and Roy Haskins, of Brattleboro; his sister Betty Betit and her husband Roland, of Wilmington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;  and two nephews, Brad Betit and Ronnie Betit. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rita Haskins, who died in infancy.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Haskins will be private.  There are no visiting hours.
