WILMINGTON - Frederick John Skwirut died at the age of 82 on Sunday morning, February 18.  Fred was born in Natrona, PA, on May 15, 1941 to Fred C. and Helen Theresa (Wiktorowicz) Skwirut.
After high school, Fred joined ROTC and attended Carnegie Mellon.  He then joined the army and was stationed in Korea.  Afterwards, he became a press man living in northern New Jersey and working in NYC.  For weekend fun, he joined the ski patrol at Haystack ski area where he met his future wife, Dorothy, in 1969.  After marrying, Fred became a building contractor.
