Dawnette L. Greene

SWANTON- Dawnette L (Dix) Greene, 45, died unexpectedly April 2, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. Born February 9, 1974, to Patricia (Phelps) Knight, at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, she attended school in Monroe Bridge, MA, graduating from Winnisquam Regional High School in Tilton, NH. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, swimming, and working in her flower gardens. She had a great love for sports, especially Red Sox baseball, NASCAR racing, and stock cars. She loved children, helping people however she could, as well as poetry, animals, and country music. Above all her greatest love was her family. Besides her mother Patricia and her stepfather Ronald Knight, she leaves her partner of eight years, Mark Covey, of Swanton, VT; two sons Eric Greene (Jessica), of Whitingham, and Devin Greene (Johnnie), of Gardner, MA; a stepson Dana Covey, of Cornish; three grandchildren, Michael and Kiana Greene, of Whitingham, and Noah Covey, of White River; three brothers Douglas Dix (Laurie), of Whitingham, Matthew Dix (Jennifer), of Hinsdale, NH, and Gary Dix Jr. (Cathy), of Putney; and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Patrick Covey.
A graveside service will be held Saturday May 4, at 11 am, at Jamaica Village Cemetery, Route 30, Jamaica. There are no visiting hours.
