Catherine Ann Haynes

ROCHESTER, NY- Catherine Ann Haynes, 83,  died  peacefully  Saturday, September 26.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lincoln Haynes, parents Catherine and Dr. George  Ramsey, and  sister Merry Ellen Schwartz. She is survived by brother William (Sandra), nephews Michael and James Ramsey, niece Nancy Jean Schwartz  (Boatright), and great-nieces  Katherine, Elizabeth, and Makenzie Ramsey. Mrs. Haynes was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and raised in Rochester. She attended nursing school at Genesee Hospital School of Nursing.
She practiced nursing at Genesee Hospital, Strong Memorial, and Massachusetts General Hospital. She met Lincoln Haynes while at Mass General. They were soon married and moved to Wilmington, VT. Following his death several years later she moved back to Rochester. Private arrangements will be made at a future date.
