Carl Jillson

WHITINGHAM - Carl W. “Butch” Jillson, III, 77, a resident of Burrington Hill Road, died Sunday, August 22, at his home.
Butch was born in Bennington on November 23, 1943, the son of the late Carl W. and Yvonne Hager Jillson, Jr. He attended Whitingham schools and graduated from Whitingham High School.
After serving two tours of duty with the United States Navy, Butch went to work for more than 14 years for the town of Whitingham at the sewer plant. Butch enjoyed watching football and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA. He loved  tinkering on small engines, listening to country music, as well as playing games like cribbage and solitaire. along with his Sudoko puzzles.
Butch leaves behind the love of his life, Ruby Brown; his stepdaughter Kelly Moore (Tom), her three children and their spouses; grandchildren; and sisters Ann Butterfield and Jeannie Davies.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be announced at a later date. There are no visiting hours.
