WILMINGTON -  Arnold “Arnie” Henry Bernard, 79, of Wilmington, died surrounded by family on Friday, February 9, following a brief illness. Arnie was born on June 17, 1944, to Doris (LaRock) and Benjamin Bernard, on the kitchen table of the family home on Ray Hill Road. He graduated as a Wilmington High School Warrior in 1963 and enlisted in the Coast Guard, where he served as a boatswain mate for four years off the coast of New Hampshire and Maine.
