Ann Butterfield

WILMINGTON- On Wednesday, March 29, heaven gained another angel.  Ann Jillson Butterfield, 74, has gone to reunite with her mother, father, and brother.  
She was born on February 11, 1948, to Yvonne H. Jillson and Carl W. Jillson, of Whitingham.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Carl W. (Butch) Jillson III.  Ann’s faith helped her to fight a brave battle with an illness at the end of her life.
Ann leaves behind her significant other of 42 years, Robert H. Boyd, of Wilmington, and his son Scott and daughter Kim.  Other relatives that she blessed with her presence in life include her sister Jean Davies and husband Larry, of Michigan, and their children Tony and Jillian; her daughter and husband, Heather Ann and David Lee Shangraw, of Colchester, and their children Kalin Collins and Taylor Bolm.  She leaves behind her son Carl Butterfield; her granddaughter Courtney and husband Javier Soto, and their  children, Javier and Nicholas; along with many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and very special friends.
Ann had many accomplishments in her life including graduating from nursing school at Johns Hopkins in Maryland.  She was a registered nurse for most of her life and enjoyed work at the VNA, schools, and Bennington hospital.
She had many interests including baking, knitting, quilting, playing the piano, reading, motorcycle riding, and spending time with her grandchildren playing board games and having tea parties.  Ann had a smile that lit up the room and her generosity was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  She will be deeply missed. 

In lieu of flowers donations in Ann's name can be made to the Deerfield Valley Rescue, of which Robert Boyd was a part of for 30 years.
At this time no arrangements have been finalized.  A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family later in the year
