Voters pull trigger on gun support

WHITINGHAM- Voters at Town Meeting approved 37 articles and a pair of nonbinding resolutions, including a motion to declare the town’s support for the Vermont Constitution’s right to bear arms. But voters stopped short of declaring the town a “gun sanctuary” due to confusion over the wording of a lengthy resolution.
After almost five hours of approving expenditures and talking about general operations of the town, resident Tyler Colford presented a request to voters to make the town a “gun sanctuary.”
