Vermont warns residents of unemployment fraud

MONTPELIER – A letter from the Vermont Department of Labor may be the first notification that a fraudulent unemployment insurance claim has been filed in your name. If Vermonters receive a letter from the department be sure to open it to ensure there was not a fraudulent claim filed using personal information.
