Vermont leading country in vaccination rate

MONTPELIER- Vermont continues to lead the nation in vaccine uptake, and the results can be seen in falling COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths, state officials said Tuesday. 
Agency of Human Services Secretary Mike Smith the state is closing in on the milestone of 400,000 Vermonters at least partially vaccinated.  “As of Monday, 393,700 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19,” Smith said.  “Of those, 97,700 have received their first dose, and 296,000 have received their first and last doses.”
