Vail top bidder for club’s snowmaking equipment

BURLINGTON- Vail Holdings was the top bidder in an auction of Hermitage Club snowmaking equipment in Vermont District Bankruptcy Court on Tuesday.
Vail will pay $375,000 for the former private resort’s snow guns and other related equipment.  Vail Holdings was the initial “stalking horse” bidder identified in an emergency motion to sell the 41 Technoalpin “fan guns” filed in early October.  Vail Resorts recently purchased nearby Mount Snow, along with 16 other Peak Resorts ski areas.
