Vaccine demand slams state systems
MONTPELIER- State officials at Tuesday’s press briefing said there was a tremendous response Tuesday morning when the state opened vaccination registration to Vermonters 70 and older.
Earlier in the day, the state released a statement urging Vermonters to sign up online, if possible, after Health Department phone lines were jammed with people seeking appointments. Phone lines opened for registration at 8:15 am, and within 15 minutes more than 7,000 calls came in.
