Twin Valley pulls plug on pre-K program for fall
WILMINGTON- There will be no pre-K program at Twin Valley Elementary School this year, school board members decided at their regular meeting Tuesday.
In a three to one vote, the board voted to follow a recommendation by TVES Principal Rebecca Fillion not to offer pre-K for fall 2020. According to Fillion’s proposal, pre-K would not be “developmentally appropriate” under the school’s COVID-19 guidelines. “The COVID-19 guidelines do not nurture the growth of pre-K students in the ways we have designed our programs for learning.
