Twin Valley board approves plan to hire staff for behavior and discipline issues

WILMINGTON- Twin Valley School Board members approved the creation of a new position at the school to respond to behavior issues and administer and monitor disciplinary actions at Twin Valley Middle/High School.
After the school year started, principal Reed Mellinger told board members, he found that there was no longer any system in place to respond to behavioral issues at the school.  “It was the assistant principal,” Mellinger said.  “If there were detentions or in-school suspensions, they were monitored by Lee Ann.”
