Town may consider property auction

DOVER - At its meeting on Tuesday, the Dover Selectboard said it would review a list of properties purchased by the town at tax sale and would consider holding an auction of the properties.
The discussion was inspired by a request from Jay Giarratana, who expressed interest in “Lot 13,” which is adjacent to property owned by Giarratana.
“It went to tax sale and nobody bought it,” said Giarratana. “The town bought it and it was never redeemed.”
Dover Treasurer and Delinquent Tax Collector Marco Tallini said the town has other properties in similar situations.
