Town “reluctantly” OKs police policy

WILMINGTON- On Tuesday, the Wilmington Selectboard met with the town’s chief of police Matthew Murano to discuss the department’s new use-of-force policy, their presence in Whitingham, and the purchase of a new cruiser. 
Following an executive order signed by Gov. Phil Scott in August 2020, the state of Vermont is requiring that all police departments implement a use of force policy.
