Tests show higher PCBs

By Mike Eldred
WILMINGTON- The measures state and Twin Valley officials put in place to reduce airborne PCBs at Twin Valley Elementary School appear to have increased levels of the chemical, at least in some locations.
TVES Principal Rebecca Fillion said the latest testing results came as a blow to the school community, and has raised anxiety for parents and for school staff.  “When it comes to kids, we’re  going to be as protective as we can, and worry more than we would about ourselves,” Fillion said.
