Supervisory union budget to grow by 16% for next year

By Mike Eldred
STAMFORD- Windham Southwest Supervisory Union board members approved a $7.5 million budget for fiscal year 2026 at a special meeting on Thursday, January 2.
The $7,545,749 budget for 2026 is an increase of more than $1 million, or about $16%, over the supervisory union’s current published budget for fiscal year 2025.  But despite what appears to be a sizable increase, the projected 2026 expenditures are likely to be lower than the actual expenditures incurred in 2025.
