NEWFANE- A lawsuit filed against North Branch Fire District by a former board member may be headed to trial on Leap Day – Thursday, February 29 – if the parties can’t reach a settlement.
Thomas Ferrazza, a former chair of North Branch Fire District Prudential Committee, filed a lawsuit on June 7, 2023, claiming the prudential committee has altered the terms of office for the district’s officers in violation of state law, refused to correct the situation when he notified them of the violation, and continues to operate with improperly elected officers.
