Statewide police dispatching plan could cost local towns big bucks

DOVER - At the Dover Selectboard’s meeting on Tuesday, police chief Randy Johnson updated the board about possible changes to the way the state charges towns for dispatching. In addition, the board amended a recently-released decision on a vicious dog hearing, and it asked the Green Mountain Conservatives Group to provide more information about why they want to talk to the board before doing so. In addition, the board asked for more information about why they can’t use existing engineering plans for work to be done at Dover Town Hall.
