State puts hold on J&J vaccines


Gov. Scott announced that Vermont would pause vaccinations using Johnson & Johnson Tuesday

MONTPELIER- Vermont will suspend vaccinations with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, pending a review by the CDC and FDA, Gov. Phil Scott announced Tuesday.
Tuesday’s COVID-19 emergency press briefing was delayed by an hour, as members of the administration met with federal officials regarding a recommendation from the CDC and FDA to pause the vaccinations, following reports of blood clots in six women who had received the vaccine.  Gov. Scott said the recommendation came as a surprise.
