State funds up to 10 hours of preschool program, parents to cover remaining cost

READSBORO- At their board meeting last week, Readsboro School Board members discussed preschool billing for tuition students, and classroom configuration for the upcoming school year.
The board discussed the district’s tuition policy for pre-K students from other towns attending the Readsboro program. Under state statute, school districts receive state funding for up to 10 hours of preschool for each child enrolled in a program.  For tuition students attending Readsboro’s preschool programs, the district will bill sending districts for the 10 hours.
