Sibilia supports efforts to prevent deportation
DOVER- Rep. Laura Sibilia has joined 40 other Vermont legislators in calling on federal officials to drop deportation proceedings against 10 migrant farm workers in Vermont.
The 10 men facing deportation have been in the United States for years, living and working on Vermont dairy farms. Deportation proceedings were initiated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement after they were stopped and detained by ICE officials during traffic stops or at other locations.
