Sibilia’s bid for Speaker of the House falls short

MONTPELIER- Windham-2 Rep. Laura Sibilia lost her bid to unseat incumbent House Speaker Jill Krowinski in a 111 to 35 vote by secret ballot on the House floor Wednesday.
Though ultimately unsuccessful, Sibilia drew support from a broad political spectrum of her fellow representatives.
