Short-term rental registration program just about ready to roll out

DOVER - Economic Development Director Eric Durocher said this week that the town’s forthcoming short-term rental registration will commence within the month. Final touches are being put on back-end management to make the registration process run smoothly.
The registration of short-term rentals is the result of an ordinance adopted by the selectboard in August. According to the ordinance, the purpose of the town’s STR registration system is to “promote the health, safety, and welfare of both full-time and part-time residents and visitors.”
