WHITINGHAM - A significant part of a much-needed sewer project will be undertaken, thanks to $1 million in federal funding secured for Whitingham by Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Sanders secured the funding for the town through the fiscal year 2023 Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) process. Whitingham’s sewer project joins 51 other projects statewide. Those projects represent a combined $42 million included in a federal year-end spending package, which funds the government through 2023.
