WHITINGHAM - At the Whitingham Selectboard’s regular meeting on Wednesday, October 5, the board discussed a new plan for the sewer rate.
Board member James Weber said he and selectboard office administrator Gig Zboray met with RCap Solutions, which helped them determine sewer rates in the past. Weber said his big takeaway from the meeting was that the sewer rate should be based on the capacity to serve.
“What that means essentially is that any building that is hooked up to the sewer should be paying whatever the maximum occupancy of that building is,” he said.
