Searsburg says “No thanks” to fed funds

Phil Scott announced that funds received by the state through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Local Fiscal Recovery (LFR) had been distributed to local governments throughout the state and would be available to towns within the week. Locally, numbers ranged from close to $200,000 to much smaller amounts. So small, in fact, that in Searsburg, local officials decided not to bother taking the funds.
