School year to end with budget surplus

WHITINGHAM- At their regular meeting Tuesday evening, Twin Valley School Board members learned they may be staring down the barrel of a third large budget surplus at the end of the current fiscal year.
Supervisory union business manager Karen Atwood told board members the district was “in good shape to have quite a bit of money left over.”  Atwood said the current figure, which includes unanticipated revenue and other sources, as well as unspent and unencumbered funds, is about $980,120.  “But I’m sure in the next months we’ll spend down some of that.”
