School officials take electric bus for test drive

WARDSBORO - During their Monday, October 7 meeting at Wardsboro Elementary, the River Valleys Unified School District board moved forward with a rebate from the Clean Service Program to purchase an electric bus. They also learned about efforts by both schools to provide students with healthier meal choices.
On September 26, the transportation committee reviewed two bids for the much anticipated electric bus. The first bid was for a Thomas Built bus for $380,000 and the second was for a Blue Bird bus for $345,000.
