Route 100 paving project underway

A work crew was cold planing pavement in front of the Old Red Mill in Wilmington earlier this week. Surface preparation and paving will be done from the village center to the Dover town line this year, and then on to the Stratton line next year.

WILMINGTON- A major paving project, long awaited by Deerfield Valley travelers, got underway on Wednesday.
The Route 100 project includes the milling (cold planing) and resurfacing of the road from the traffic light in Wilmington, through Dover, to the Stratton/Wardsboro town line near Penny Avenue.  According to officials the work will be completed over two years.  This year the work will continue through Wilmington to the Wilmington/Dover town line, wrapping up sometime in October, according to the state.
