Rotary to provide hats for cancer patients through project “Love a Head”

WILMINGTON - Angel Balch is launching an initiative through the Rotary Club of the Deerfield Valley that will deliver hundreds of hats to patients at the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center in Bennington, and she’s hoping for help from the community to meet her goal.
The project is called “Love a Head.” Balch was inspired to launch it after learning that chemotherapy can cause a lot of discomfort to the scalp. Balch’s mother, Helen Castillo, of El Paso, TX, is undergoing chemotherapy treatment and told Balch about the discomfort.
