Refugees may be resettled in Whitingham as early as next week
WHITINGHAM - At their regular meeting Wednesday, the Whitingham Selectboard met with Karen Hein, of the Deerfield Valley New Neighbors Project, to learn more about the Afghan refugee resettlement project in the town.
The agenda item was proposed by board member James Weber. He anticipated town officials receiving questions on the matter and also wanted to know how the board can be supportive.
