Recycling success brings new bench for library

WILMINGTON  - Pettee Memorial Library will receive a free bench made of recycled materials after successful completion of a challenge in which the library collected 500 pounds of recyclable materials in a period of six months.
The competition was called the Nextrex Recycling Challenge. It’s an endeavor of Trex, a company that makes composite decking from, according to the company, “an innovative blend of 95% recycled plastic film and reclaimed sawdust.”
