MONTPELIER- An education reform bill recently passed in the House and sent to the Senate would drastically change the way Vermont delivers education.
In its current form, H.454 would consolidate local school districts in to larger regional districts, consolidate schools (with exceptions for geographically isolated schools), eliminate local school boards by centralizing district governance, and eliminate school choice as currently practiced.
