Power line upgrades potentially coming to East Dover

DOVER- Outage-prone East Dover could have a significantly more reliable electric infrastructure by this winter, according to Green Mountain Power.
At their regular meeting Tuesday evening Dover Selectboard members heard from Tim Jones, of Green Mountain Power, regarding the company’s proposal to upgrade their VH4A line, which serves portions of Townshend, Wardsboro, and East Dover.  Jones sought the selectboard’s input and approval to place electric poles and lines in the town highway right of way.
