Petition seeks closure of Readsboro school

READSBORO- A petition presented at Tuesday evening’s Readsboro School Board meeting seeks a vote to close Readsboro Central School effective June 30.
“The goal is to close the school to provide a better education,” says parent Kaitlyn Boyd, who circulated the petition. “I had a fifth grader who has been there since preschool, and my oldest graduated (eighth grade) last year. They’re just not getting the education they need to move up into middle school and high school without struggling.”
