Permit sought for Hoot, Toot, & Whistle project

WILMINGTON- Members of the Wilmington Trails Committee presented their plans for improvements to the town’s Hoot, Toot & Whistle trail to the town’s development review board Tuesday evening.
Trails committee member Joanne Yankura said the Hoot, Toot & Whistle trail, which runs along the Deerfield River from Reardon’s Crossing to the Fairview Avenue boat launch and recreational area, is one of the town’s most popular public trails.  “It’s very important to the town’s economy, for the health of residents, and also for tourists,” Yankura said.
