Peak Resorts to be sold to Vail for $264 million

BROOMFIELD, CO-  Vail Resorts announced it has entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire 100% of the outstanding stock of Mount Snow’s parent company, Peak Resorts Inc., at a purchase price of $11 per share, subject to certain conditions, including regulatory review and Peak Resorts’ shareholder approval.
Peak Resorts (NASDAQ: SKIS) shares shot up to $10.32 Monday on the news, up 112% from $5.10 per share before the announcement, according to Seeking Alpha.
