Parents voice concerns over middle school move

READSBORO- Southern Valley Union School Board held a marathon public discussion session at a special meeting Monday evening. 
The special meeting was called in response to concerns raised by Readsboro parents and other residents regarding a decision to eliminate seventh- and eighth-grade instruction from Readsboro School for at least the upcoming school year and move two seventh-grade and three eighth-grade Readsboro students to Halifax School.  The five Readsboro middle-schoolers would be in a combined seventh- and eighth-grade classroom with 17 Halifax students.
