New sled will help with winter rescues

Grants from Rotary and snowmobile clubs offered
WILMINGTON - As winter looms, the Wilmington Fire Department is prepared with a new rescue sled, which can be towed by a snowmobile and used during wintertime rescues in the valley’s terrain. The sled, which cost $8,500, was fabricated locally and was largely funded by grants from local organizations.
