Local man runs successful write-in campaign for Senate bid

JACKSONVILLE- Tyler Colford, of Jacksonville, ran a successful write-in campaign for Windham County state senator, and will be on the ballot as a Republican come November. Colford, who is a machinist at GS Precision in Brattleboro, says his biggest driver in politics is a belief that “the less taxation and the less intervention from the government, the better.”
He says he decided to run after watching a candidates forum for Windham County on YouTube in August.
