Liquor license approved for new general store
WHITINGHAM - At their regular meeting Wednesday, May 18, the Whitingham Selectboard approved a liquor license for a new general store in Jacksonville that is set to open this summer.
The new iteration of the Jacksonville General Store is owned by Christopher Roberts, who purchased the name of the store under the business name JG Store LLC. He is planning to operate the store in the current Briggs Automotive building, located at 2977 Vermont Route 100, up the road from the old general store.
