Judge upholds House race results, will go to Legislature for final say

BENNINGTON- The Bennington-1 district will be represented by Jonathan Cooper – at least until the House of Representatives has a final say – following a pair of rulings by Bennington Superior Court Judge David Barra.
In a judgment order issued following a hearing on Monday, Barra confirmed the results of a recount of votes in the Bennington-1 race conducted on Monday, November 18. According to the recount figures, Cooper won the race with 1,265 votes.
