Judge rules against hermitage in $2 million breach of contract suit

NEWFANE- Windham Superior Court Judge Robert P. Gerety has awarded a Massachusetts man more than $2 million in a breach of contract lawsuit against the Hermitage Club and James Barnes.  
Gerety issued the decision last week, granting a motion filed by Robert Coffin and his attorney John Stasny for default judgment.  Gerety ordered the Hermitage Club and Barnes “jointly and severally” to pay Coffin $2,108,654.92 in compensatory damages, interest, and attorney’s fees.  Under the order, interest will accrue at a rate of 12% until the amount is paid.
