BENNINGTON - The state is on the hunt for lone star ticks. The ticks, which can pass diseases on to humans, are currently thought to be rare in the region, but their population is possibly on the rise. To investigate, the Agency of Agriculture, Food, and Markets is staging two events that will ask turkey hunters to help by participating in a citizen science endeavor.
