House bill will protect school budgets

DEERFIELD VALLEY- School budgets won’t have to be revoted, according to Rep. John Gannon, and there won’t be a 22-cent increase in the statewide education tax rate, if the House property tax yield bill is passed.
Gannon met with Twin Valley School Board members at their regular teleconference meeting Tuesday evening. Rep. Laura Sibilia also joined in on the teleconference, but audio difficulties prevented her from fully participating.
