HALIFAX - The town of Halifax will be hosting a celebration of the town and its residents this Saturday, August 28.
In place of their usual Old Home Day, this year will be a “celebration of life and getting together,” according to celebration committee co-chair Patricia Dow. She said the main goal of this weekend was to honor the hard work everyone had to do during the pandemic, whether they were EMTs or parents with children.
“We wanted to make sure everybody feels honored,” said Dow. “Everybody was essential during the pandemic.”
