Group still trying to get state to approve signs

The bi-town committee is frustrated that it can’t get the state’s attention to approve signs similar to this, to keep visitors off back roads. File photo

WILMINGTON - At a meeting of the Bi-town Economic Development Committee on Thursday, March 5, committee members reviewed a presentation about a $100,000 bi-town marketing campaign funded by Wilmington and Dover. The bi-town marketing committee intends to ask the towns’ boards for a re-up on that funding at a joint meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 31. The committee also heard an update about efforts to find affordable housing solutions in the valley and discussed a new tack it will take to attempt to get new signage installed along Route 9.
